It is really a privilege to live in not such a big Copenhagen and meet people from all over the world. And be the witness of one of the most important and intimate days in their life. Elopement is a little bit different than a wedding. People decide to share their happiness and gratitude just with each other. Sometimes they’re not able to gather the whole family in one place, so if they can’t have everyone they choose to have no one beside. There are many reasons, too many to name all. But in the end, my responsibility is not only to capture the day to memorize but to let people in other countries or even continents feel that they were here. Crying, laughing and most of all sharing love.
Lou and Nils’ happiness shines from the pictures. They were smiling and laughing all of the time and I had the feeling that their smile stayed with me for many days after. You are adorable, thank you for your trust!

To naprawdę przywilej mieszkać we wcale nie tak dużej Kopenhadze i spotykać ludzi z całego świata. A co więcej, być świadkiem jednego z najważniejszych i najbardziej intymnych dni w ich życiu. Elopement (nie znajduję dobrego polskiego tłumaczenia) różni się nieco od tradycyjnego ślubu. Pary decydują się dzielić swoim szczęściem i wdzięcznością we dwoje. Czasem nie mają możliwości by cała rodzina uczestniczyła w ich ślubie, dlatego sprawiedliwie decydują się nie mieć obok nikogo. Wyjeżdżają daleko i tam sobie przysięgają. Tak naprawdę powodów jest tyle ile par. Dla mnie zmienia się jedno. Moją odpowiedzielnością jest już nie tylko uchwycić kilka(set) kadrów na pamiątkę, ale przede wszystkim opowiedzieć ten dzień tak, by rodzina i bliscy mieli szansę poczuć, że byli obok. Doświadczali wzruszeń, radości i dzielili się wsparciem.
Radość Lou i Nilsa promieniuje ze zdjęć. Śmiali się przez te kilka godzin, które z nimi spędziłam non stop i mam wrażenie, że ich śmiech został ze mną jeszcze na długo potem.
